"Lil" Pro Camp is our introduction to soccer. Kids ages 3 through 5 learn the game of soccer through fun games and instruction. Pro Camp is for kids ages 6 through 12 looking for a little more. Kids learn the fundamentals and techniques of soccer through skill training, specialized drills and small sided games.

Staff Biographies

	Mike Richardson - Director (Coach, Palatine, IL) Michael, who was born in Inkberrow, England, moved to the U.S. at the age of 5. His professional career began in 1987 at the age of 19 with the Chicago Sting of the Major Indoor Soccer League. After playing with the Sting for one year, he joined the Chicago Power of the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL). He spent 6 seasons with the Chicago Power winning 1 league championship in 1990. While in Chicago, Michael was also voted to the All-Pro team once and made 5 All-Star appearances. In 1994 he was traded to Milwaukee where he spent another 5 seasons. There he won another 2 championships in 1998 and 2000 and was voted to the All-Pro team with 2 more All-Star appearances. Michael is no stranger to outdoor soccer. In 1995-1998 he played for the Chicago Stingers of the USL (United Soccer League). There he was voted All-Pro in 1996 and 1998. He won the National Championship in 1998, as well as being called up 2 times to the Chicago Fire (MLS). Michael has been an All-Star forward, midfielder, and defender. He has been coaching since the age of 15 and is a USSF licensed coach.

What should campers bring to Professional Soccer Academy?

Each child needs to bring a soccer ball, water bottle, snack, shin guards, and soccer/gym shoes.

What is the first day of soccer camp like?

Camp begins at 9am (check for dates and changes), check in is between 8.45 and 9. From 9 to 9:15 campers will be taken to the field while parents have a brief discussion with site director about what to expect for the camp. Campers will be on the field from 9 to 12.

What will campers receive for attending Professional Soccer Academy?

On the second to last day of camp, campers will receive a water bottle, shoe bag and camp tee-shirt.

What should campers expect for the last day of camp?

The last day of camp, it is suggested that each camper bring a water gun for our annual water gun fight. This will take place the last 30 minutes on Friday.
