The Hare Soccer Camps, located in Pittsburgh, was founded to provide young players the opportunity to learn and prepare for a higher level of competitive soccer. The Academy Session curriculum is designed for players who are ready to make the transition from recreational to competitive soccer, and the Elite/College Prep Sessions are for the competitive club and high school player who hope to play college soccer one day. The philosophy of Hare Soccer Camps is simple yet demanding. Our staff is challenged to develop the technical and tactical skills of their students through dynamic, fun and demanding training sessions. Players are grouped according to gender, age and ability to further create a challenging and positive training environment. We feel the Hare Soccer Camps experience should be one where coach and player can share the rewards of improvement through a well-disciplined, educational work ethic.
Camp Director is Gerald “Jerry” Hare, Owner & Director of Hare Goalkeeper Academy and Assistant / Goalkeeper Coach of Shady Side Academy Senior School Varsity Soccer teams and Middle School Boys’ Soccer team. The HSC Coaching Staff includes current and former college coaches, current high school coaches and former professional players. They all have many years of experience playing and teaching soccer of all levels. The coaches on the staff are all certified and nationally licensed from National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA), United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and the national coaching licenses from other countries around the world.
