Delima Soccer Enterprises Soccer Programs

Headed by former professional goalkeeper and coach Miguel de Lima, Delima Soccer offers training at Division 1 professional clubs in Brazil for individual players and teams for high school, club team, college, and professionals. We also offer team pre-season training and team tours to Brazil. Our programs operate year-round (with the exception of December and January).

Note: Camps run all year long, and length of stay is up to you.  This camp's costs vary depending upon length of stay. $500 is the amount of deposit. All camps start at $1500. Contact delimasoccer@bellsouth.net for more information about cost.

Miguel de Lima - Founder and President
(Delima Soccer Enterprises, Pensacola, FL)

Playing Career:
- 1955-1962: Played for C.R. Vasco da Gama Professional team in Rio de Jeneiro
- 1963-1964: Played for Los Millonarios of Bogota (Colombia)
- 1965-1966: Played for F.C. Koln (Germany) and became the first Brazilian Goalkeeper to sign for a European team.
- 1967: Played for Botafogo F.C. (Brazil)
- 1967: Played for St. Louis Stars
- 1968: Played for New York Generals

Coaching Career:
- 1972-1979: Saint Louis University Goalkeeper Coach and Assistant Coach.
            One of the first Goalkeeper coaches to be hired at the collegiate level.
            SLU won the 1972 & 1973 NCAA National Championship; 1974 runners-up.
- 1979-1984: Goalkeeper Coach and Head Scout of the New York Cosmos
            Cosmos won 4 Eastern Division Championships during this time.
            Cosmos won 2 NASL National Championships during this time.

Other Accomplishments:
- Played with some of the greatest players of the world such as: Bellini, Orlando, Vava, Nilton Santos, Didi, Garrincha, Jairzinho, and Gerson (1958 World Champion Brazil Team), as well as Zagalo (Brazilian National team coach).
-Worked for Pele's staff during the 1990 World Cup in Italy.
-Former Goalkeeper Coach of the Brazilian Masters National Team.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where do the players stay? How long are the programs?
Players have the opportunity to stay at the Center of Training at the professional club with other Brazilians and international soccer players. The facilities are comfortable and players receive excellent meals prepared by the club’s own nutritionist and cooks. Players have access to all of the club’s facilities (rec. room, pool, library, etc) and a doctor, physical therapist, and masseuse are always available at the premises of the club.

Players can stay for a minimum of ten days and up to ninety days at a time. Programs are offered year round with the exception of December and January.
