USF All Girls Soccer Camps

The USF Girls ONLY Camp promises to be a great soccer experience for girls 5-16 years of age. The camp will emphasize a wide range of specific skills related to the improvement of soccer fundamentals. The camp will include scrimmages, ball control drills, passing and shooting technique, and an intense but fun atmosphere for learning all the best soccer skills. Each camper will be challenged in relation to their ability level with fun and exciting games as well as soccer drills that will dramatically improve her overall experience in the sport of soccer. Whether you are an advanced, intermediate or beginner, you will walk away with something valuable from this Camp!!!

Staff Biographies
Mark Carr - Women's Head Coach
(3rd Season, USF)


Coach Carr comes to USF after coaching at UCLA as an assistant coach. With Coach Carr on staff, the Bruins appeared in four NCAA Final Final Fours and two National Championship title games. Carr played professional soccer at Charlton Athletic FC in England. Mark holds a USSF A License.
Maite Zabala - Assistant Coach
(3rd Season, USF)


Coach Zabala comes to USF after coaching at Cal as an assistant coach for the past three years. She brings 11 years of summer camp coaching experience. After four years as the starting keeper at Cal, she played professional soccer in the WUSA for three years. Zabala holds an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.
Mike Herman - Assistant Coach
(2nd Season, USF)


Prior to coaching at USF Coach Herman was an assistant coach at San Francisco State and Contra Costa College. He played goalkeeper for Saint Mary’s and Holy Names University. Herman holds a USSF “C” License and an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.
Additional staff will include professional / College coaches, and as camp counselors, our very own USF women’s soccer players.

Can you tell us a little more about the camp?

The USF Lady Dons Day Camp will be run by Head Coach Mark Carr and USF assistants Maite Zabala and Mike Herman. The ALL GIRLS camp will promise to be a great experience for local youth looking to further develop fundamentals in the sport of soccer. Collegiate style coaching techniques will be used to help train and guide campers through drills and scrimmages for a fun five day camp.
Can you drop off late? Pick up early?

Early drop off and late care pick up will be avalable to campers for an extra cost of $10 per hour. Early drop off (8am to 9am) Late pick up (3pm to 5pm) Cash payment only.

Where are the camps located?

Negoesco Field is the home to USF soccer and considered one of the best soccer facilities in the San Francisco Bay Area. The field is situated on the western part of the USF campus ajacent to the USF Koret Center. The advanced turf field is truly a unique facilty in the heart of the city. The field is located on Parker St. at the intersection of Golden Gate Ave.
Do the campers get meals at camp?
Lunch is included each day of camp. Campers may want to bring extra spending money in case they would like to purchase a snack. Campers will be escorted to the USF Food Court/Cafeteria for the lunch break.
What should campers bring to camp?

  • Soccer Cleats
  • Water Bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • Sweatshirt/Pants/Change of clothes (depends on weather)
How and where do campers check-in?

Check-in for camp will begin at 8:30am the first day of camp. A check-in table will be set up at Negoesco Field for campers to verify registration and waiver information. All camper accounts must be reconciled prior to the start of camp.
